V.P. Announcements On the Way?
Is the presidential campaign finally about to kick into high gear? Bob Novak says McCain is set to announce his running mate this week.
Sources close to Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign are suggesting he will reveal the name of his vice presidential selection this week while Sen. Barack Obama is getting the headlines on his foreign trip. The name of McCain’s running mate has not been disclosed, but Mitt Romney has led the speculation recently.
While there are a number of quality candidates on the “short list”, I’m putting my money on Romney. I believe by the end of this week the McCain/Romney signs will be rolling off the presses.
I think it might have been smart for the campaign to have dropped the VP pick announcement earlier this week - take away some of the coverage Barry is getting attempting to play solider boy. If not making the announcement outright - start dropping some very loud noise on possible picks.
